Public works approved by council at special meeting

Progressive dinner draws hundreds

Long lines to get food on each corner of the Church Square, between 10th and 11th Streets and D and E Avenues were the common theme on Friday, January 27 from 5:00-7:30 p.m. thanks to the Annual Progressive Dinner to get funds for the House of Hope.
American Legion helps Food Bank

Animal Shelter to offer vaccination clinic

The Humane Society of Southern Arizona will offer a low cost spay/neuter and vaccination clinic to the Douglas community on Wednesday, Thursday, February 15-16 at the Douglas Animal Shelter/Animal Health Care Center, located at 2017 Rogers Avenue.
Repairs to 20th Street underway

January 12, 2012 Duran, Luis Carlos, 26, was arrested for aggravated assault with a knife at 1800 block of Bonita Ave, Coronado Courts, 15 year old male juvenile was charged for facilitation on aggravated assault and both were transported to Cochise county jail. (Juvenile name not being released until the court accepts that he is going to be tried as an adult)
CQCH Digital Mammograms at Douglas Feb. 6

Copper Queen Community Hospital (CQCH) continues to offer mobile digital mammography on a monthly basis at its Rural Health Clinics in Douglas and Palominas. The next mobile digital screenings will take place on Monday, February 6, 2012.
